Family Photo Shoot

Family photos capture those moments when you're with the people who mean the most to you.

In our fast-paced world, it’s even more important to capture these moments. When I photograph a family, I always strive to capture the personalities and individual traits of each family member. The photos are always natural; I avoid staged poses. I take photos that you’ll enjoy looking at and bringing out even years from now.

You can have your photos taken both in a studio and outdoors. The advantage of a studio shoot is that everything you need is available: professional lighting, premium paper backdrops in various colors. However, it’s also possible (and I actually prefer this) to shoot in natural light, even without backdrops.

However, the studio can accommodate up to 6 people. If your family has more than that, we'll need to choose an off-site location.

I can recommend numerous locations in Budapest for outdoor photo shoots, but of course, if you have a favorite spot, we can arrange the shoot there as well. For outdoor photo shoots, I use only natural light, almost without exception.

Consultation

Before the photo shoot, I always offer the opportunity to consult—whether by phone, email, or in person. During this consultation, we can discuss any questions you may have and coordinate details such as what to wear or any special requests.

The Photo Shoot

The photo shoot will last about 2 hours. We’ll take plenty of photos during that time. There will be opportunities for large group photos as well as photos in smaller groups. We’ll take every combination you’d like: with parents, with grandparents, together, separately, etc.

Retouching

You can choose from two types of retouching: the basic retouching packages include basic image corrections (brightness, contrast, exposure).

The premium packages, on the other hand, include a higher level of retouching that is also more time-consuming (e.g., correcting wrinkles, skin imperfections, etc.)
I'll upload the best photos to a private gallery where you can view them.

Clothing

For family portrait photos, it’s best to choose solid-colored outfits—too many colors and/or patterns distract from the faces and can be very jarring, creating a sense of clutter in the photos. It’s important that no one person dominates the photos; coordinate your outfits in both color and style. No one should be dressed more or less formally than the others. If you’d like to have both casual and elegant photos, feel free to bring several outfit changes—there’s plenty of space to change comfortably.

In general, long-sleeved tops help keep the focus on your faces. Darker colors are usually better, but if you’re unsure, bring both a lighter and a darker outfit, and we’ll look at them together to see which is the better choice. At the same time, the most important rule is that you feel comfortable in the clothes you choose. Everyone has a different personality, temperament, and style. Family photo packages are available in several options. Click the “Continue” button to learn more about the current options.

Opinions, Feedback

“We reallyenjoyed the photo shoot—the kids were absolutely thrilled. The photos speak for themselves—they’re full of charm, naturalness, and beauty. The kids look like angels in the photos, and the picture of the four of them perfectly shows how the photographer knows how to capture the most perfect moment. Thank you!

“I have veryvivid memories from my childhood of when we’d go to the photographer. It was always a special occasion that the whole family looked forward to and prepared for. With this series, we’ve brought that family tradition back to life. At the same time, there’s a big difference between the photos from back then and the ones taken now. The old photos are very static and don’t reveal much about the family members themselves, while Iza’s photos clearly capture the feelings and emotions we have for one another in our family.”
